POSITION:                       

Home Alone Child Care Worker

 

RESPONSIBLE TO :         

Superintendent, Director of Instruction, Program Director, Master Teacher(s)                 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:        

Direct supervision of up to 20 school-age children; maintain clean, safe, and sanitary environment; be alert of  individual needs of children; structure activities to meet the need and developmental levels of the children; maintain standards set forth by the licensing unit of the Dept. of Human Services; become familiar with the mandatory reporting of child abuse; communicate with parents on regular basis.                    

 

TRAINING:            

1. Minimum of 20 clock hours of training in child care, child development, and early childhood or other childcare related subjects per employment year.

1. A one-hour program orientation is required during the first week of employment.

1. Must take CPR, first aid training, and fire extinguisher class within first month of employment.
