POSITION:                            PART-TIME TITLE VI INDIAN EDUCATION COORDINATOR

 

RESPONSIBLE TO:                Building Principals and Director of Instruction

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:             Competency as a team member of the staff to support the mission of the School and provide vision and guidance for all Title VI Tutors and the Indian Education Program; communicates tribal events and resources to tutors, students, and parents to maximize student and family awareness of available opportunities; coordinates district-wide cultural experiences and organize cultural enrichment activities; provides curriculum opportunities to enhance self-awareness and career pathways; coordinates parental engagement opportunities and provides support and guidance for tutors, students, and parents; organizes and schedules professional development and growth opportunities for tutors; works to enhance collaboration between Bristow Public Schools, the Indian Education Committee, the Tribal Education Agency and community; other duties assigned.

EDUCATIONAL

  REQUIREMENTS:                   High School diploma or equivalent required and Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or a passing score from the state based para-professional test. 

 

OTHER

  REQUIREMENTS:                   Regular attendance following a designated work schedule; must be able to work extended hours and additional days/evenings as required by position responsibilities; must be able to attend and participate in meetings and conferences scheduled.
