POSITION: PART-TIME SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
RESPONSIBLE TO: Superintendent and Building Principal
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Develop an individualized plan of care for each student; teach students how to make proper sounds, improve their voices and/or increase their oral or written language skills to communicate more effectively; keep records on the initial evaluation and progress of students; collaborate with teachers, special educators, interpreters, other school personnel and parents to develop and implement individual education plans and support classroom activities; teaches rules of conduct; maintains order in classroom and on school grounds; counsels pupils when adjustment and academic problems arise, discusses pupils’ academic and behavioral attitudes and achievements with parents; keeps attendance and grade records as required by school; other duties assigned.

EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree from four-year college or university and valid certification.
OTHER
REQUIREMENTS: Regular attendance following a designated work schedule; must be able to work extended hours and additional days/evenings as required by position responsibilities; must be able to attend and participate in meetings and conferences scheduled.
