POSITION:                       Middle School Head Wrestling (Lay) Coach

 

RESPONSIBLE  TO:          Superintendent, HS Principal, and Athletic Director

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:        Responsible for the direction and supervision of the Middle School wrestling program.  Assists the Head Wrestling Coach in maintaining inventories, equipment purchases, scheduling and game arrangements.  Monitors eligibility of student athletes in the wrestling program.  Assists in the maintenance and upkeep of all physical facilities related to the program.  Works directly with the elementary wrestling program director to ensure a smooth transition from the elementary wrestling program to the middle school wrestling program.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS:           Individual must have proven ability to direct and integrate the cheer program for the entire school system.  Head coach responsibilities not a requirement, but would be an asset to one’s candidacy.  Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and have demonstrated successful performance of duties in previous assignments.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

EDUCATIONAL

  REQUIREMENTS:             Bachelor's Degree preferred. High School Diploma or GED required.  

 

OTHER

  REQUIREMENTS:             Regular attendance following a designated work schedule as dictated by the High School Wrestling Head Coach. Attend and participate in meetings as scheduled.  Demonstrate leadership capabilities.
